The Hall
You arrive at The Hall, a room inspired by the Forbidden Palace of Beijing, imagined through the lens of a Wong Kar Wai film. A series of sapele timber screened salons that line a bespoke marble mosaic fish scale design floor. Each salon housing vibrant red leather upholstered booths for 2 or 4, enveloped with teal and timber panelling offset with aged brass and mirrored wall lights. Bespoke chinoiserie cabinets with belvedere marble counters styled with antique vases set off the joinery in the heart of the room and frame the vista to the Drawing Room.
THE DRAWING ROOM
The Drawing Room is an elegant room of further sapele timber panelling framing a warm, tactile, yellow wallcovering. The room complements the teal leather and rich patterned fabric upholstered booths that sit either side of the octagonal parquet flooring. Dressing the windows and doorways are polished, timber fret-cut screens that contrast against the modernist textured plaster pendant lights. Centered in the room, a chinoiserie cabinet housing a bespoke Chinese clock. Layering the room is a collection of curated art pieces from MiMi’s travels.
THE PEACOCK ROOM
Beyond the Drawing Room behind the elegant folding timber screens is The Peacock Room. Apt for intimate celebrations, the beautiful private dining room of hand painted silk chinoiserie wallpaper featuring the room’s signature peacock, watches over a table for eight in front of the room’s original open fireplace.
