Chinese New Year - Mayfair Restaurant
As we bring in the Year of the Tiger at our Mayfair residence for the very first time, from the 24th January until the 15th February, feast on our limited edition Lunar New Year Menu created by Executive Chef Peter Ho.
Begin with a ‘Basket of Wealth’ - two styles of dim sum, known for bringing good fortune, filled with chicken and chive, and sea bass and wasabi tobiko, our signature Steamed Okra XO, and Seared Native Oysters with ChingKiang vinegar and caviar.
Sharing mains include Ginger Silver Cod with steamed egg white and crispy leeks; Hakka noodles with beansprouts, shiitake and garlic cloves and ‘Fortune’ crispy Norfolk pork with refreshing pineapple and pomelo.

Taking centre stage is the whole wok-baked lobster also known as the ‘dragon of the sea’ served in a superior, rich and umami broth and baby Pak Choi; before indulgently finishing, with our much-loved take on a rum baba: Baiju Ba Ba.
Join us beneath our wishing tree canopy of kumquat garlands, vibrant ribboned wishes, deep fuchsia peonies and chrysanthemums as you take a trip down memory lane to celebrate age old traditions and reminisce about the Empress’ travels as you bring in the new year of good fortunes, health and happiness.
The Chinese New Year celebrations will run from 24th January - 15th February. The set menu is £98pp and includes a glass of champagne.
